YOUR VISIT

Initial Examination

The initial visit often lasts approximately 1 hour and will begin with a comprehensive consultation and complete health history.  There will be a thorough physical examination and a full review your pertinent medical records, X-rays and/or MRI studies. If further imaging studies are required, we will refer you to one of the local imaging centers, where a board certified radiologist will review the studies.  Following your examination, we will fully explain your situation and the treatment options available to you. We will strive to make sure all your questions are fully addressed.

Therapeutic Exercise

Dr. Croucher is a faculty member of the North American Spine Society Exercise Committee.  Movement and strengthening exercises are useful at decreasing pain and reducing fear of movement. While in our office, you'll recieve one-on-one coaching on proper form and monitor your progress throughout your treatment. Our philosophy is to prescribe user friendly exercises that can easily be performed at home. This will give you the tools to continue to progress.

Manual Therapies

The goal of these hands-on techniques is to provide you with relief by decreasing inflammation and improving mobility in the areas of pain. Through the use of gentle stretching techniques, myofascial therapy, and various forms of mobilization, our doctors work diligently to ensure that you leave your appointment feeling better than when you came in.

Leg Injury

Instrument Assisted Manipulation.

Some of the procedures we perform are instrument assisted joint manipulations.  These procedures are performed with various hand held instruments that allow us to manipulate a specific joint in a very precise, comfortable and safe way.  These types of treatments can reduce joint pain and help restore range of motion. Communication with your Doctor

With your consent, we will update your family doctor about your case with a full narrative report. If a referral to another specialist is required at any point, we’ll make sure the process is handled with ease and that everyone involved in your case is properly updated. Navigating where to go when you have spinal pain can be intimidating.  We will strive to make that process easy on you.
