Mark Croucher, DC

“Since 1992, my number one focus has been helping people who suffer with painfully chronic spinal conditions.  Our patients have been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease, spinal arthritis, disc herniations, post-surgical spinal pain and spinal stenosis.  Often these conditions are extremely painful and take the joy out of life.  Helping these patients move better and feel better has been my life’s work.“

Mark Croucher is a doctor of chiropractic and the founder and clinic director of The Spine Center of Williamsburg. He is a member of the North American Spine Society (NASS) and performs scholarly peer review of new research for The Spine Journal.

NASS is a global multidisciplinary medical society that utilizes education, research and advocacy to foster the highest-quality, ethical, value- and evidence-based spine care for patients.  Their mission is ours.

Dr. Croucher is an appointed member of the NASS Exercise Committee.  This is a multidisciplinary committee focused on educating spine care providers and patients about the role exercise can play in promoting spine health and reducing back pain.

“I could hardly move my neck and had pain in my right shoulder – but that was when I first went to Dr Croucher. I dance – it’s my soul food so I really needed the pain to go away and to have movement back. Well, I am back dancing up a storm thanks to Dr Croucher. His expertise and patience is remarkable. THANK YOU!!”

Daniel Carlson, DC

“I have over 30 years experience in using proven and modern methods that I have learned from skilled practitioners of chiropractic, manual medicine, osteopathy and physical therapy throughout the world. I provide comprehensive treatment programs for quick pain reduction and then show patients how to maintain that relief.”

Daniel Carlson underwent undergraduate training at the State University of New York at Fredonia.  He received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from National Chiropractic College/National University of Health Sciences.

Dr. Carlson is also certified in Impulse Adjusting Technique and has participates annually in continuing education in spinal bio-mechanics, diet and improving spinal function.  He is licensed through the Virginia Board of Medicine.

“Even though I was very skeptical about chiropractic two friends encouraged me to try it. My lower back and hip pain was better in about four weeks. Dr. Carlson spent at least 5 to 10 minutes on education at each visit and I’m continuing with my assigned exercises and practicing the posture drills. I like the convenient (before work) hours and clean, clean office. You are great!”

She completed over 500 hours of clinical service dedicated to managing painful spinal conditions.  After a 2019 clinical internship in Williamsburg, she is now serving our community full time as a member of The Spine Center of Williamsburg. Dr. Van Blaricum is licensed through the Virginia Board of Medicine.

“Anyone's normal examination is nerve wracking. Coming here, I found it to be a relaxing and comfortable one. Dr. Carly carried out the examination, she was very nice and made connections with me about sports and life. I appreciated what she did to make everything go smoothly and her going the extra effort to talk to make and make a doctor's office a comfortable place to be in. You don't get that much or almost at all at a doctor's office, especially during an examination. Again, thanks so much!
